Our Story
Wirespeed started in 2024 with a clean sheet of paper and a simple conviction: security operations had to run at the speed of CPU compute: milliseconds, not the speed of agentic AI (seconds to minutes) and definitely not as slow as a human analyst queue.
Our founders spent decades as practitioners, red teaming the world's largest companies, leading large SOC teams, building products—and kept seeing the same pattern: adversaries winning with asymmetric speed advantages, while defenders were buried in human-scale queue delay and bad case verdicts.
So we built something different. Fully automated investigation in milliseconds. Every step shown, like high school algebra. ChatOps that asks your users the questions a SOC analyst never has time for. AQL quality engineering borrowed from manufacturing, applied to cybersecurity for the first time. And a deterministic-first approach to investigation—not agentic AI wasting tokens planning how to investigate alerts when we already knew how.
Customers proved it worked: millisecond MTTR, transparent verdicts, and pricing that didn't punish you for a noisy Tuesday. In November 2025, we joined Coalition to bring that model to more organizations—pairing Wirespeed's automation with Coalition's Active Insurance reach and incident response depth. We're not done building.

Wirespeed founded. Public launch. 24/7 since 7/24.
2024–2025
Seed funding, first customers, and proof that deterministic-first AI SOC is not only way faster than human-led SOCs, but can also contain real threat actors.
November 2025
Acquired by Coalition, the largest dedicated cyber insurance company globally. Wirespeed becomes part of Coalition Security.

Tim MalcomVetter, was previously Executive Vice President of Strategy at NetSPI, the world's largest proactive security testing firm, and former CTO at Fishtech Group / Cyderes, a large Managed Detection and Response (MDR) firm. Tim is also known for creating and leading the Red Team at the world's largest company, Walmart, prolifically speaking and writing about adversary simulation, training SOCs, complex multi-stage malware, novel offensive techniques, and building high performance teams.
Jake Reynolds
Wirespeed Co-Founder & Head of Engineering, Coalition Security
Jake Reynolds was previously Head of Emerging Technology at NetSPI, where he engineered solutions at the intersection of human led services and automated software. Jake led the building of NetSPI's PTaaS and ASM products, which enabled NetSPI to grow to become the top pure-play penetration testing company in the world. Jake brings deep cybersecurity expertise as a former Principal Security Consultant and expert penetration tester.
